The libertarians want to transform the world, but you can’t transform the world if you identify yourself with others; a unique vision is a necessary condition for transforming the world. A libertarian, therefore, cannot identify with others, not even with other libertarians—his virtue consists of being incapable of understanding other points of view; his motivation to act comes from the notion that his unique vision makes him fully competent to transform the world.
